Fluctuating energy levels throughout the day?

There are two options – bagged and loose tea.
Health kinesiology is based on the belief that we have multiple energy pathways within our bodies. If there is a restriction or blockage of our energy, then illness, disease, and imbalances may occur.

Don't fool yourself that its ok, woman... It's not.
Feeling sick during pregnancy is
your body's way of communicating important information.
I can't shout this out loudly enough –
it's an illusion to think that its ok to feel sickly in the first 3
months of pregnancy!
You've been told that it's normal. And
that many women do feel sickly when pregnant..
But ask yourself why? Why would that
be? And why is it that so many others don't feel that way?
What the sick feelings tell (on a
physical level) is that the woman's body is so toxic that the arrival
of a small, tiny foetus, creates a toxicity overload. A woman then
feels sick, almost as though she had been poisoned.
I know – I am using strong words, but
nowadays we are all practically living in a soup of toxicity. There
are environmental toxins (heavy metals, chemicals, electromagnetical
forces, microbes, fungi, viruses, molds... etc etc check
www.ewg.org), and there are what
our own bodies produce as byproducts of simply living. They all need
to be detoxified. The detoxification organs and pathways must be in
tip-top condition.
Many respected figures in the
scientific community argue that the levels of our outer and inner
toxicity have reached the absolute limits that our bodies can
tolerate.
However, living with toxicity doesn't
always noticeably impair a person's life. For a long time we can
function as normal. It's something like walking along the edge of the
cliff in a mist without realising where you are.
But not for expectant mothers. Her
toxicity load is revealed as soon as she becomes pregnant.
The more sick she feels, the higher her
toxicity.
Why would that be?
Well, first things first – the
non-negotiable:
Your body's first and foremost priority
is its own self-survival. Always.
And now imagine – your body's toxic
load is high.
And suddenly a foetus arrives with its
own needs for growth and metabolism.
The mother-to-be now has to process the
metabolic byproducts of the tiny foetus.
She also has to deal with
the added toxicity the foetus brings.
The foetus can't help because
in the first 3 months it doesn't have any organs or systems of its
own. And the placenta is not yet fully formed. So all the
metabolic by-products of the foetus go directly into mother-to-be's
bloodstream, rapidly increasing her toxic load. And so the woman
feels sick.
The mother's body often perceives the
foetus as a threat to its own survival in these cases..
Early miscarriages are the consequence
of huge previous toxic overload, so that the body decides to expel the foetus
rather than put its own survival at real risk.
But don't fool yourself if you feel
better after 3 months. The toxicity has not disappeared. It is still
the same – at a high level. If the pregnancy goes the full term and
nothing has been done to help the body detoxify during the pregnancy,
then the toxicity will be revealed during breastfeeding.
The substrate for milk is taken from
blood. But if it's toxic... the newborn baby simply may refuse to
drink that milk. Or vomit it out. Or do whatever else it needs to do
to protect itself from toxicity..
Again – don't fool yourself that
everything is ok. It is not. This can lead to increased risks of
developing auto-immune disorder or other chronic diseases later in
life that are fuelled by the body's toxic levels.
So if you feel sick during the early
stages of pregnancy, don't just believe what you've been told and
accept it as normal. IT IS NOT NORMAL!!!
Take steps to eliminate toxicity and to
improve your inner environment for your own benefit and for the
benefit of the tiny life that is growing within you.

Want Your Own TUNING FORK For Life?
Lately I've
found that many of my clients are entering into a deep relaxation
state during their session or during certain parts of the session.
And they
say afterwards:
- I did not
feel that I was lying on the couch.
- I wasn't
asleep – I was all the time very aware of what was going on.
- What was
it? I was so much here and now – I recall every little detail what
was going on within me and around me.
And so on.
I just
witness their deep relaxed state of being while doing the HK
corrections.
I am happy
for them. According to research by Dr. Barbara Braun, if any
therapeutic work is being done while the brain is working in this
deeply relaxed state, aka “the alpha brainwaves”, then the
rejuvenation and healing increases by up to 10 times.
But deep
relaxation on its own is so very beneficial. And we all know it.
When you
relax, the parasympathetic nervous system switches on and that is
linked to better digestion, memory and immunity, among other things.
It is like
a tuning fork for your brain and your body – getting back to
normal functioning - healing and rejuvenation.
So why
don't we do it?
- We don't
have time for that..
So how
could we get into practising the best self-help that there is?
- And find
that time....
A few tips
-
- allow yourself just 5 minutes a day of doing nothing. (You can read about this in my previous blog HERE....). Every day.
- and then increase this over time - allow yourself just 5 minutes two times a day of doing nothing. Every day. These 5 minutes in your day can be like a comma in the middle of the sentence separating different activities or parts of the day.
In such a
way you will also learn to allow time for yourself. And not busy
running around like a rabbit in spotlights.
To
paraphrase a Zen Buddhist quote - allow yourself at least 5 or 10
minutes a day to relax. But if you can't find 5 or 10 minutes, then
allow yourself 20.:) (I love this)
- And then learn from some guided meditations - youtube is full of them. Like Body Scan, Breathing meditation, relaxation, healing meditation... Just do it regularly so that with time you will not need the guided ones any more.In fact, there are plenty of methods to achieve a deep relaxation. I don't know any bad ones. It is just about getting into the habit of doing them.
The
trick is not to fall asleep and not to engage in any other activity.
Because
deep relaxation isn't the sort
of switching off you do relaxing with a cup of tea or lounging with a
magazine on the sofa.
What you're
looking for is a state of deep relaxation where tension is released
from the body on a physical level and your mind completely switches
off.
Be good to yourself - commit yourself!
And come and see me if you need any help.

DON'T FEEL THE FEAR, DON'T DO IT ANYWAY
Last
week I attended an interesting event which addressed the subject of
healing accumulated traumas. It was a very informative experience-
just one thing did not sit well with me during the event –
“Exposure Therapy”.
Let
me tell you what happened in sequence.
A
young woman had sat quietly throughout the evening and at the end she
revealed that she suffered from social anxiety.
What
happened next almost knocked me off of my feet.
She
was brought into the centre of the group and we were all encouraged
to say how beautiful and brave she was. We applauded her and
encouraged her to enjoy being in the spotlight.
Then
she was slowly turned around her axis so that everyone could see her
and appreciate how good and brave she was. She went with the flow
exactly of what she was encouraged to do.
Then
she was asked to hug somebody. Anybody towards whom she felt drawn.
She
said, “I don't give hugs”.
So
the leader hugged her and she had to hug her back. She then was asked
again to go and hug anybody else from the group. The young woman did
not want to do it. So the leader hugged her again.
That
was exposure therapy in its simplest form - Feel the fear but do it
anyway.
It
may work for some. But it certainly doesn't work for everyone.
For
many, no matter how many times you go into a social situation with
pure willpower, you will generally stumble on the same old same rake
– your nervous system will automatically go into high alert:
“Danger! Danger!” and you enter either freeze or flight mode.
It's
just automatic response. Pure physiology. And it's there to protect
you before you even “put your finger in the fire”.
When
you put your finger into fire, you quickly learn to pull your finger
out of danger. Learning not to put the finger in fire takes only one
episode.
Social
anxiety is learned over a much longer period of time - from
childhood.
If
you were rejected a lot, you began to feel that you weren't good
enough.
If you were always blamed for everything, you started to believe you were a bad kid.
If you were never acknowledged, or always ignored, you started to believe that you were invisible. Or unimportant. That you don't count.
If you were always criticized, you started to believe there was something wrong with you.
And so on.
These repetitive negative experiences from early childhood combine to create a deep picture of oneself which becomes ingrained in one's psyche and can cause you to feel uncomfortable in your own skin or to lack self-worth.
Or even not to feel safe being who you are.

Or even not to feel safe being who you are.
For
many, these feelings cannot be overridden by willpower alone. And in
fact, the reason why people seek out various therapies is because of
different feelings. They are having feelings they don't like in
quantities they can't handle. They can't fix the problem, and they
are fed up.
Even
more – the reason why for many people willpower does not help much
is because a lot of processes for action actually happen outside of
our conscious awareness.
Instead
of “Feeling the fear and doing it anyway”, first of all, you need
to deal with resistance and with a network of different un-named fears
and triggers which can cause your nervous system to go a bit haywire
before entering a challenging situation.
That
is how Health Kinesiology and many other therapies tend to work with
people with anxiety.
This
may not be as dramatic as simple exposure. It can be a
longer journey and a deeper process but usually with much better and
more lasting results. You may be surprised how different a situation
feels then. And you will feel good about yourself whatever happens.
Otherwise
the whole thing about “Feeling the Fear But Doing it Anyway”
simply reinforces the idea that one cannot be helped.

A very special July offer

Only £ 30 for a session for one week starting July 10-17.
Celebrating your birthday this month? Many happy returns! What do we know about the general health and health risks for babies born in July?
Based
on statistical research by the University of Columbia, covering
almost 2 million people's medical records between 1900 and 2000,
there's some great news::
- babies born in July are, along with May babies, statistically less at risk of contracting any specific major illnesses than those born in other months.
One
or two smaller clouds on the horizon :
- there is a slightly higher than average risk of developing asthma
- and women born in July are slightly less fertile. Very slightly.
Of
course, the risk of disease depends on a huge number of factors, not
just the environment that we are born into, or the actions of our
parents while expecting us.
July
can be a funny month here in Belfast.
Some
people will be out enjoying the 12th celebrations while
others will flee the city, even the country, to get away from it. But
if you are still at home and not out marching and you have any health
concerns that you haven't resolved, you can always contact me to book
an appointment where we can address these issues and bring about the
resolution you need.
In
addition, with this being a quiet time of year for businesses here –
I still have a few slots available next week- so I am making a very
special July offer – only £ 30 for a session for one week starting
July 10-17.

Amazing bodies
How amazing it is when you
have a little epiphany and make a discovery about yourself and what
you do!
It's common for people
starting out in many vocations and professions to view their role in
a certain way. And then as time passes to gradually realise that what
they are doing is actually quite different from what they had first
assumed.
Initially, I saw my role
as a health kinesiologist as being like a translator of what your
body wants or needs to be healthy and happy.
Now, I'm beginning to feel
more like an exorcist. An energy exorcist :)
There is plenty of
knowledge about energy channels and meridians and about blocked
energies and so on. But nothing compares to the actual experience of
freeing that blocked, trapped energy from tissues, cells and energy
centres.
And this is why I feel a
bit like an exorcist: I can hold a magnet (just as an example) over
some point and the client just tells me what is going on – e.g.
internal heat, shooting pains, moving stomachs, twitching legs and
hands, 'arctic' colds in head or feet... you name it!
And the body is so happy
to release all that trapped energy and to be back in its proper,
natural flow again.
Meanwhile, I stand to one
side and observe... And I am still in awe of what people's bodies are
generating.
And that's why I love
doing Health Kinesiology!

One for you to try at home... This really works!
So
you or somebody around you has some pain. Or discomfort.
As many
times – it appears unexpectedly. Things happen. Or maybe you need
to wait for help. And you would like the pain to go away. Or, if it's
a regular occurrence, to get instant relief until you find a lasting
resolution.
So
in Hawaii, where alas I have never been, there is a simple yet
effective method. It can be used with children and adults or as a
self-healing technique. All you need to remember are the power points
of the body and three steps for use.
Power
points:
crown,
brow,
chest,
back of neck,
navel,
base of spine,
shoulders,
hips,
palms and soles.
They are easy to remember, since
they correspond to the seven major chakras, plus the 'corners' of the
trunk – hips, shoulders – and the extremities – palms, soles.
The
three steps to do is:
- Energise yourself – that is , get your own energy flowing well. A quick method is to rub your hands together briskly.
- Put one of your hands on the affected area (wherever the discomfort is), and the other hand on a distant but comfortable-to-reach power point. This power point must be pain-free. For example, it it's a child with a bruised knee, put one hand on the knee, and the other on the child's forehead or shoulder.
- Focus on your hands and breathe normally Don't try to send energy, or try to do anything. Continue for a minute or two. If the person doesn't feel any change within twenty seconds or so, try another power point.
Why it works?
Healing
occurs simply because you are completing a circuit of energy, so that
energy starts to flow through the affected area again. You are
restoring the flow - and when you are in the flow, as I say, you
notice good things happening again. If energy flows normally, there
will be no symptoms.
That
actually, very shortly put, is what I do when doing Health
Kinesiology – restoring the flow. I just help it by removing
anything that stands in its way. The
body has an extraordinary ability to heal itself and it knows how to
bring itself back to 100% functioning given the proper conditions.
Surely, if
the pain is regular, give it a go and contact me and let's see what
we can do using more 'advanced' methods.
